Pollinators may be small, but they do an incredibly important job—helping plants produce the fruits, seeds and new growth that support the wider ecosystem. The green spaces around a hotel offer a natural opportunity for children to discover how butterflies, bees and other pollinators help keep the world around them growing.

Family Translation brings their role to life through a simple colour, create and contribute activity. Children choose an illustrated, die-cut local pollinator to colour and personalise, while discovering what it pollinates, how it helps plants grow and why it matters to the local environment. They then add their creation to a communal Pollinator Wall.

As the wall grows, families are encouraged to head outdoors and spot these important pollinators at work, connecting creativity with discovery and a greater understanding of the nature around them.

The important role of local pollinators isn’t always obvious to children, creating an opportunity to turn everyday encounters with nature into moments of discovery and learning.
