Hotel artwork can be rich in story, character and connection to place, but to a child walking through the lobby or corridor, it may simply be something hanging on the wall.

Family Translation can change that by giving the artwork a "secret".

Using a custom Web-AR experience, families are invited to scan a particular painting to discover whether they have arrived during its Magic Hour. The hour changes each day, creating a small element of mystery around when the artwork will reveal what it is hiding.

Scan outside the Magic Hour and the painting remains still, with a playful message encouraging children to return later. But scan it at the right time and the artwork suddenly comes alive. A character might move, an object could disappear from the frame, a hidden detail might reveal itself or the entire scene could animate before leading into an AR selfie experience inspired by the painting.

Family Translation Gap
Even when artwork is impossible to miss, without an invitation to explore it, children may never look closely enough to discover the details and stories within.
